Privacy
Effective August 21, 2026. This page explains the information the GameEngine Studios website uses to provide accounts, community features, Cloud storage, security, and support.
Information you provide
Account registration uses a username, email address, and password. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not readable plain text. Profile details, Social posts and messages, Cloud files, gallery choices, contact messages, newsletter addresses, and validator submissions are stored only when you choose to provide or create them.
Information collected during use
The service records limited technical information such as IP address, browser user agent, requested page, timestamps, authentication events, and security events. This supports visitor reporting, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and account security across the main site, Social, Cloud, and Admin surfaces.
Cookies and local storage
Essential session cookies keep you signed in and protect requests. Browser local storage may remember interface preferences such as theme and optional progress or achievement settings. GameEngine Studios does not currently use third-party advertising trackers.
How information is used
Information is used to operate requested features, authenticate accounts, enforce storage quotas, deliver verification or reset emails, respond to contact messages, investigate security events, and improve reliability. GameEngine Studios does not sell personal information.
Visibility and sharing
Profile details and Social content may be visible to other signed-in users according to the feature being used. Cloud uploads are private to the account unless a separate gallery or sharing action is used. Uploading a file alone does not publish it. Service providers used for hosting and email may process the minimum information needed to deliver those services.
Retention and choices
Account content is kept while the account and feature remain in use. Security logs, operational backups, moderation evidence, and transaction records may remain for a limited period needed for security, legal obligations, and recovery. Signed-in users can download their account and Cloud data or delete their active account from Settings. Both actions require the current account password, and deletion also requires an exact confirmation phrase. You may also use the Contact page to request access, correction, export, or deletion; a support request may require identity verification.
Security and changes
Reasonable technical controls are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. See the Security page for details. Material updates to this notice will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
